Ed Slavin
SVP, Experiential Marketing
For over 20-years, Ed has designed and managed experiential marketing programs for some of the world’s highest profile brands. Ed began his experiential marketing career in 1990 with Dallas-based Motion Graphics as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Ed was responsible for building and managing the Sampling Plus division of the company, with a focus on grassroots, retail, mobile, and event marketing for multiple brands including Anheuser-Busch, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, and Kraft.
In 1994, Ed founded Field Source Inc., one of America’s premier grassroots and experiential marketing companies. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Ed led the development of one of America’s fastest growing companies, going from 4 guys in a living room to a company employing over 4,000 employees across America in 3 short years. Field Source designed and executed some of the most successful, and highly visible programs in America for brands such as Pepsi’s Mountain Dew, Starbucks’ Frappuccino RTD Coffee Drink, Frito Lay's Lay’s Potato Chips, Nestlé’s NesQuik, and Diageo’s Stolichnaya Vodka. During this time, Field Source was the lead experiential marketing agency for Pepsi-Cola Company, Diageo, and Nestle Beverages, and expanded their reach to execute programs internationally in the Philippines and Mexico for Pepsi. Field Source was acquired in June of 1998 by Mosaic and Ed remained President of the U.S. Experiential Marketing business unit until 2002 at which time he left to lead a private venture capital group, Direct Store Solutions, investing in and managing specialized small business start-ups. In 2008, Ed re-joined Mosaic as Senior Vice President, Experiential Marketing.
Ed serves on the board of directors for General Cafes, a Dallas-based operator of Nestle Toll House Cafes.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communications from Texas Christian University
