Habitat

What do you get when you take 20 enthusiastic Mosaic Cares volunteers, throw in some super sweet custom t-shirts, hard hats and steel toed boots, and put them on a construction site?

A new house for a family in need, that’s what!

Well, not quite – but we did frame 15 walls for Habitat for Humanity Hamilton! Not bad, for a team who had many members whose only experience with a hammer and nails was hanging a picture frame (myself included!).

Despite the early wake up call, 20 Mosaic employees drove to Hamilton for a day of manual labour in the name of philanthropy. We lucked out and had some awesome sitesupervisors and volunteers – big thanks to Ron, Ronnie and Paul who were very patient and awesome to work.

Habitat for Humanity is an incredible organization that builds houses for families in need in over 100 countries around the world, so our entire team was excited and honoured to be a part of such a great initiative.

Although we didn’t complete a real house, we did decide to make our own in the parking lot at the end of the day.
